FoRGE Committee

FoRGE (Fostering Resources, Growth, and Engagement) is our community outreach committee. Members are responsible for developing volunteer opportunities, community partnerships, growing visibility, and more on a local, area, and state level. Our FoRGE members have a direct impact on the success of Little Woods as well as the impact we make in our community. This committee is completely volunteer based and does not receive any financial compensation. However, participation may be utilized for professional reasons or academic requirements.

FoRGE Committee member requirements

  • Annual meeting attendance (remote & in person)

    2 in person and 2 virtual

  • Monthly expectations

    1 social media post, or content for 1 post on Patreon, Substack, or newsletter contribution

    Distribute flyers/posters to a minimum of 1 location

    Document efforts on shared spreadsheet

  • Annual expectations

    4 hours hands on volunteer hours at Little Woods

    Attend at least one event per year

  • Committee roles are a minimum 1 year commitment and determined annually based on voting

Roles we are currently seeking to be filled

  • Event coordinator/specialist

  • Grant writer

  • Volunteer Program Director

    (Preferably local are able to regularly be onsite beyond standard committee requirements)

  • PR/Marketing

We are always adding members beyond these specified roles.
